BLOGGER :: Dano FAQ
Singapore is off the WHO list of SARS infected countries at last, after having more than 20 days without any new SARS cases. My only worry is having more Malaysians bringing in the disease over the border like the last instance on 11th of May.

Unfortunately I believe that the Malaysian health authorities still do not have the SARS situation completely under control in their own country, and are resorting to putting blame on Singapore whenever possible for trans-border cases, which is their usual habit.

Refer to all the detailed rebuttals from the Singapore SARS website which have effectively tongue-tied the Malaysians (forever I hope!!). Actions and results speak louder than words, always. Methinks that if it came to a war between the two countries (as speculated by a Malaysian General some time ago over the issue of water supply), Singapore would win hands down in a couple of days and leave the Malaysians facing the wrong direction, with their heads in their arses and their sarongs or pants around their ankles, and still bickering amongst themselves as to who to blame for losing the war. Ha ha ha....he he he.

Summary of SARS cases in Singapore today is as follows:

Discharged: 164
Hospitalised: 10 (including 5 in intensive care)
Deaths: 31
Probable cases: 206*
Suspect cases: 1
Observation cases: 3
Under Home Quarantine: 456
*Includes 1 case who died from non-SARS causes

Travel Advisory still in effect
Singapore MOH urges the public to heed WHO's advice to postpone travel to
Beijing, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Tianjin and Taiwan until another time.

WHO Travel Advisories are still in effect for travel to the following countries, which do not have this disease under control yet :-

China and Taiwan only
...

We could always send some Ah Bengs over to Malaysia and Taiwan in order to teach the people over there "a lesson".
